Inching Closer to Spring
Spring, is that You?
(Written prior to this weekend’s snow storm, ugh!)
It’s February and God willing we are one step closer to longer sunnier days with less snow. The days feel , longer, the sun is arching above the tree line, and I have been purchasing new scents for spring. Â I should feel guilty about the number of new fragrances I have in my cabinet, but I don’t!
Lotion Bars
After experimenting with new fragrances, I have finalized the selection offered. I source fragrances from suppliers that share the same ethos of clean skincare, and I must say these fragrances do not disappoint!
The lotion bars that I make contain cupuacu butter. Â Cupuacu butter has excellent deep hydrating properties creating extra nourishing bars. Â This butter comes with an earthy almost natural, chocolatey scent. Â As you might imagine it is a challenge to pair cupuacu butter with a complimentary fragrance. It is one reason I love creating new products, some scents work well while others fall short and flop.
Changing Around Scents
Some of the prior lotion bar scents are being removed. These includes pomegranate, apricot & honey, and maple scents. Two new scents will take their place that I find compliment the properties of the lotion bar.
These are (drum roll please…)
– Sea Salt & Lily
– Cocoa Cashmere
Wow. These are incredible scents that I find intoxicating. I will continue to offer Lime & Lotus and the Bare-Naked Lotion bar which is a natural unscented bar.
New Products Coming in March
Additionally, I am developing a body lotion that has a lighter texture than body butter. Â The reason for the lighter texture is that this lotion contains 63 % water. Â Body butter is all butter and oil, which is why the body lotion feels lighter on the skin.
The scents for body lotion include:
– Beach Peony
– Pink Sands
– Sandalwood & Sage
The new spring additions will begin in March, and I will send a notification to my subscribers. They will be available for purchase both online and in person at future local farmers’ markets.
Growing my Small Company
In 2026, I am committed to growing this small company. Â I am excited to see how new products and scents are received both at markets and in some local retail stores. Â Realizing growing a small business takes time, I need to continue to be patient with the process.
Stay tuned for future updates on logos and designs in the next coming weeks! Another project I am very excited about. Â Until then, thank you for stopping by.
